Oscar winner Keeravani returns to Malayalam cinema with Sreekumaran Thambi composing the songs

Sangeet Keeravani is in Oscar glory. The song ‘Natu Natu’ from ‘RRR’ has won the Oscar. Sreekumaran Thambi has announced through social media that he is preparing songs for a Malayalam movie along with Keeravani.

Congratulations to dear friend Keeravani who won the Oscar. Five songs have been composed for a film with Keeravani. The producer says that the work of the film, which was affected by the Kovid disaster, will be resumed immediately. Keeravani, known as Maragatamani in Malayalam, has taken South Indian cinema to new heights. Let’s be proud. Sreekumaran Thambi says, may time bless that great musician who is a symbol of simplicity and sincerity to leap to greater heights. Fans are waiting to hear Keeravani’s songs again in Malayalam cinema.

Keeravani won the Oscar after two decades of superhit songs in various Indian languages. The recognition of a senior musician who composed hit music in Malayalam including ‘Devaragam’ is becoming a pride for the whole of South India. Keeravani and his uncle’s son SS Rajamouli played no small role in elevating Telugu cinema from the usual brand of masalapadams and dappam koothu paat to a pan-Indian level. Keeravani’s magical music was the soul of the ‘Baahubali’ series that changed Indian cinema. The high power song ‘Nattu Nattu’ became the highlight when Mouli finished the heroic saga of Telugu satantrya war from Mahishmati Empire.

Out of twenty tunes, the team of ‘RRR’ came to ‘Natuvi’ which is being heard now. Lyrics by Chandra Bose. Keeravani’s son Kalabhairava also featured in Chatulaganam with Rahul Sipligunj. Keeravani, who started her film career in the 90s as an assistant to Telugu musician K Chakraborty, has made a name for herself in South India and Bollywood in a short span of time. ‘Criminal’, ‘Jism’, ‘Saya’, ‘Sur’, ‘Magadheera’, tunes celebrated by music lovers. Master director Bharathan also called Keeravani to do ‘Devaraag’ of love. Novoorunna ‘Suryamanasa’ and Koda Manji with ‘Nilgiri’ hill songs became Keeravani magic in Malayalam. Even at the age of 61, Keeravani continues to travel amazingly with changing trends.
