Los Angeles: India has won a historic achievement at the Oscars. Award-winning ‘The Elephant Whisperers’. ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ won the award in the documentary short film category. This is the first time that an entirely Indian film has won the Oscar.

‘The Elephant Whisperers’ is a documentary made on the backdrop of Muthumala National Park in Tamil Nadu. Directed by Karthiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga. The film tells the story of Boman and Belly who raise a baby elephant named Raghu. In this documentary made in Tamil, you can see a direct picture of the tribal community living in harmony with nature.
The Oscars will be held at the Dolby Theater in Ovation Hollywood, Los Angeles. First announced is the award for Best Animated Film. Pinocchio, directed by Guillermo del Toro, was named Best Animated Film. Jamie Lee Curtis won the Best Supporting Actress award and Key Huey Kwan won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. The film Everything Everywhere was awarded the award.
James Friend was named Best Cinematographer. The award was given to the film ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’. Daniel Rohr, Odessa Ray, Diane Becker, Melanie Miller and Shane Boris’ ‘Navalny’ won the Best Documentary Feature Film category.
