“And the Oscar goes to..” was said seven times tonight for “Oppenheimer”. Director Christopher Nolan won with his historical drama – including the most important award for best film.
Nolan will probably be particularly happy about this personally. On the eighth attempt it finally worked out with the Oscar.

Stone wins second Oscar, Murphy wins best leading role
Irish actor Cillian Murphy won the Oscar as best male actor. The 47-year-old was honored for his role in “Oppenheimer.”

Emma Stone was cast as best female lead actress honored – for her role in the bizarre Frankenstein adaptation “Poor Things”. “Oh man, this is really overwhelming,” said an emotional Stone as she accepted her award.

The German actress Sandra Hülser, who was also nominated in the category, came away empty-handed. Just like Lily Gladstone, who would have been the first indigenous actress to win this Oscar.
In her speech, Stone explicitly referred to the other nominees, including Annette Bening and Carey Mulligan. “I share this with you. I’m in awe. And it’s been a great honor to do all of this together. I hope we can do more together,” she said. It is Stone’s second Oscar.
Best International Film: “Zone of Interest”
If best international film became the Holocaust film “The Zone of Interest” was honored. The first Oscar awarded of the evening
