OSCE records 591 ceasefire violations in Donetsk region

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission revealed 591 ceasefire violations in the Donetsk region on February 18, including 553 explosions. In the Luhansk region, the mission recorded 975 violations, including 860 explosions.

The SMM’s previous report stated that 222 ceasefire violations had been identified in Donetsk region. In the Lugansk region, 648 violations were recorded. “The SMM confirmed reports of a civilian casualty in government-controlled Marinka, Donetsk region,” the mission’s February 19 report said.

The situation around Donbass has escalated. Yesterday, on February 18, the heads of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics announced the evacuation of the population to Russia due to fears of a forceful seizure of Donbass. Kiev rejects such statements.
