TOKYO: Two years after the spread of the Kovid virus, new variants of the virus continue to pose a challenge around the world. Masks and vaccines are being used worldwide to fight the virus. Now, Japanese researchers have come up with a new type of mask. The mask, developed by Yasuhiro Sukamoto and his team at Kyoto Prefectural University in western Japan, contains ostrich antibodies. The researchers also claimed that the mask could be used in specialized clinical trials. After eight hours of wearing the mask, which is covered with ostrich antibodies, hold the filter-removed mask against the fluorescent lights. If the mask contains the Kovid virus, special patches will appear on it. Sukamoto, the head of the research team that developed the mask, also claimed that it was through this mask that he identified himself as a Kovid victim. Special patches were found on the mask containing the ostrich antibody he was wearing. Through this it was understood that he was infected with the virus. Sukamoto said the disease was later confirmed by a routine Kovid test.

Previous research has shown that ostriches have the ability to fight the covid virus.
