The film is titled Randakam in Tamil. Ott was Kunchacko Boban’s first bilingual film. Ottin also has the distinction of being Kunchacko Boban and Arvind Swamy’s first film together. The film was directed by TP Fellini, who directed Tovino’s film Thewandi.

The film is produced by movie star Arya under the banner of The Show People and Shaji Natesan under the banner of August Cinemas. This is also Arvind Swamy’s film in Malayalam after 25 years. Jackie Shroff is another lead actor in the film. The screenplay of the film is written by S Sanjeev. Telugu actress Esha Rebba is the heroine.
