Ouarzazate Province: Launch of development projects on the occasion of the Throne Festival

The governor of the province of Ouarzazate, Abderrazak El Mansouri, thus launched the works to widen and strengthen provincial road No. 1510 linking the rural commune of Tidli to the douar of Agouim over a distance of 36 km.

This road project, the cost of which amounts to more than 66 million dirhams, aims in particular to improve the conditions of service in the province in order to raise the level of economic, social and tourist development.

At the level of the municipality of Toundoute, Mr. El Mansouri inaugurated the project of widening and strengthening the provincial road n°1502, which connects the national road n°10 to the municipalities of Skoura, Toundoute and Imi N’oulaoune, over a length of 52 km. This structuring project mobilized an investment of 78 million dirhams.

Subsequently, the governor launched the construction work of a road section which will link the douars of Ait Hamou Ali, Tiska and Taboukmate to the rural commune of Telouet.

These projects, which are part of the Programme for the Reduction of Territorial and Social Disparities in Rural Areas (2017-2023), aim to open up rural populations in order to improve their quality of life.

In addition, 23 school buses were handed over to several municipalities in the province as part of the continuation of social support offered to students in the province.

These school buses were acquired as part of a partnership between the Provincial Council of Ouarzazate, the National Agency for the Development of Oasis and Argan Areas (ANDZOA) and the Provincial Directorate of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Ouarzazate.

The governor of the province of Ouarzazate and the delegation accompanying him also attended presentations on a series of socio-economic projects intended to accelerate the development of the province.
