Ouarzazate: training session for the benefit of associations responsible for drinking water management in rural areas
Ouarzazate – The means to combat water stress were at the center of a training session organized for the benefit of associations responsible for the management of drinking water in rural areas in the province of Ouarzazate.
Initiated from January 23 to 25 by the Provincial Water Commission, this training session takes place as part of the momentum of the general mobilization that the Kingdom is experiencing to deal with the worrying water situation due to the scarcity of resources in water and the succession of years of drought.
The work of this training, led by executives from the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water, focused on several themes, in particular measures aimed at preventing water shortages, technical management of systems water supply and water leak detection and maintenance techniques.
This training session, held at the headquarters of the prefecture of the province of Ouarzazate, also addressed the measures to guarantee the rationalization of the administrative and financial management of water, the tools and techniques of communication and awareness as well as the measures to combat water waste.
According to a press release from the Ouarzazate Provincial Water Commission, this initiative comes in accordance with the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI aimed at mobilizing to combat the phenomenon of water stress.
