Where to give birth to a child in Lyon and its surroundings? A simple question that many future parents in the Rhône find it very difficult to answer. Information on maternity wards is insufficient, often outdated, untraceable in most cases. It is difficult to make a choice to give birth when you do not know the prenatal workshops offered, nor the rates of cesarean and episiotomy, nor the availability of personnel.
We collected data from all health establishments in the Lyon region. This is precise information, sometimes unpublished and never made public, on the quality of care and support for pregnant women. Thus, we were able to note and compare the maternities objectively to draw up a complete list. What to know if it is necessary to prefer the hospital Woman mother child of Bron to that of Croix-Rousse, or the private hospital Natecia to the clinic of Val-d’Ouest.
