ENGAGEMENT – On the sidelines of the symposium organized in the town of Saintes (Charente-Maritime), on the occasion of the 100th issue of the Independent Scientific Council (CSI), organized by the collective RéinfoLiberté and animated in particular by Louis Fouché, Vincent Pavan and Tristan Edelman, we met Sonia, caregiver and Florence, nurse.
Both are part of the Association of White coats. They returned to the difficult reintegration of certain caregivers, following the vote on a law repealing the anti-Covid-19 vaccination obligation and lifting the suspensions pronounced against them from September 2021.
Florence was sadly surprised to discover that her position had been filled while her contract was simply suspended. It should also be remembered that the caregivers, during their period of suspension, did not have the right to find another job since they were still considered under contract at the hospital. This deprived them of any compensation.
In an edifying testimony, Sonia and Florence affirm that some of the “reintegrated” caregivers are offered the most thankless positions, “heaviest”, in their words.
