It’s time for the summer festivals. This week, we offer you a selection, those which must take place during a few days between the end of June and the beginning of July (or which begin during this period). Jazz, classical music, rock, pop, music from cultures around the world…

Salif Keita, Tryo, Johnny Osbourne… beautiful people at La Villette

CABARETSAUVAGE.COM

For twenty-five years, this beautiful Parisian place of atypical music created by Méziane Azaïche, warm (red velvet, benches, colored stained glass windows…), cultivates eclecticism in its programming. Its summer festival therefore logically offers a poster playing the card of mixing genres and music, whose smugglers come from several corners of the world. The very excited Chilean group Chico Trujillo and their energizing cumbia-rock opens the program (June 27), followed this week by Gnawa Diffusion and its charismatic Amazigh leader Kateb, with Alright Mela the same evening (June 30), then, for the week -end, the sub-Saharan electro trance of Zar Electrik with also the De La Groove collective (July 1).

Next will come, among other things, the all stars of Jamaican veterans Inna de Yard, with the magnificent singers Ken Boothe, Cedric Myton, Winston McAnuff and Kiddus I (July 4 and 5), the French song group under Jamaican rhythmic influence Tryo (July 6), the unexpected return of the Malian Salif Keïta (July 7, the only date in France), followed the next day by his compatriots Amadou and Mariam. In addition to Mali, Angola will also be on the bill, with Pongo (July 9), then its golden voice, Bonga (July 28). Johnny Osbourne, another legendary singer from Jamaica, will close the program on July 29. To enjoy the vast terrace of the Cabaret Sauvage, you can arrive at the scene from 7 p.m. P. La.
