Germany is one of the countries to which refugees continue.

Today (Tuesday), two Jewish families, one of them from the city of Lvov, were received at the gates of the community in Berlin. The families were welcomed with open arms by the city’s rabbi and Chabad emissary, Rabbi Yehuda Teichtel.

“The families did not stop thanking God for their miracle of salvation,” says Rabbi Teichtel.

The two families are, of course, the first swallow in the wave of refugees expected in European countries.

At the Jewish Center in Berlin, hundreds of basic food kits were prepared for Jewish refugees arriving in Germany. Over the past day, volunteers have been working to prepare assessments.

During the day, a special meeting was held between Rabbi Teichtel and senior government officials in Germany, during which the rabbi emphasized the need to provide a special framework for the Jewish refugees who are expected to arrive in Germany in the coming days.

The rabbi offered the services of the Jewish community, in providing help, hospitality and employment, in the new life of the Jewish refugees. “Government officials responded in the affirmative and ordered the staff of their office to keep in touch with us,” says Rabbi Teichtel.
