“Our support for FAI is linked to the history of Groupama, which has always been sensitive to issues related to cultural and environmental heritage. Since 1987 we have been supporting the world of cinema for the restoration of old films and the production of new films. Keeping an eye on the environment has always been at the center of our mission, given that we are the second largest owner, after the French State, of forest land, with 52,300 acres of forest in metropolitan territory. We put the connection between environmental protection and cultural heritage into practice at the time of the tragic fire of the Notre Dame Cathedral, when the entire part of the carpentry that went up in flames was provided in exchange by us.” Thus Pierre Cordier, CEO and General Director of Groupama, on the sidelines of the presentation of the “FAI Autumn Days”, held at the Museum of Classical Art of the La Sapienza University of Rome.
Cordier, who had the opportunity to recall how his career path has also embraced university teaching in the past, continued by listing the various Groupama initiatives with reference to 2023 and beyond, recalling in particular that “the commitment to CSR is is articulated in the creation of ‘Women in Cyber’, which served to enhance and recognize the contribution of women in this particular sector. We then launched the third edition of an observatory on the habits and relationship of Italians with their domestic environment.”
“We should remember a very important initiative called ‘Let’s play early’ – concluded Cordier -. We want to train young people to perceive and rationally manage risk in the home environment, pushing them to make their own contribution to forming mature thoughts at family level on this topic. Finally, the individual physical protection program called ‘Life Savers Program’ focuses on training people in first aid, especially for cardiac and respiratory problems that can arise in everyday life”.
