“One of the most pioneering and unique programs of summer festivals”, claims in its presentation the 40th edition of the Météo-Mulhouse Music Festival. Well Named. First committed to presenting the European and American scene of free jazz and improvised music, the festival has included other “sound adventures” on its program, as its subtitle indicates, those of rock, electronics, always keeping in mind that the formations invited are those who experiment, show creativity in their research.
For this anniversary edition, from August 23 to 26, are expected in particular: the trio [Na] led by drummer Selma Namata Doyen, the duo Musho (Sofia Jernberg, vocals, Alexander Hawkins, piano), the sextet Separatist Party of drummer Mike Reed, the duo of Fanny Lasfargues (bass) and Damon Locks (electronics, vocals), the group Bonbon Flamme, saxophonist and flautist Sakina Abdou, turntable player and singer Maria Chavez, the duo Clara Lévy (violin) and Alexis Degrenier (drums), the quintet The End with singer Sofia Jernberg and saxophonist and flautist Mats Gustafsson, the duo The Hatch (Mette Rasmussen, saxophone, and Julien Desprez, guitar)… S.
