On the sidelines of the report of the Council of Ministers of this Thursday, June 1 to the spokesperson of the government in Kaloum, the minister spokesperson of the government addressed the case Ibrahima Diallo in charge of the operations of the FNDC (National Front for the Defense of the Constitution ). He was prevented from leaving the country. Ibrahima Diallo, Oumar Sylla alias Foniké Menguè and Mamadou Billo Bah, all FNDC officials recently released on the intervention of religious leaders, remain subject to ongoing legal proceedings.

This would still prohibit them from traveling outside Conakry without the express authorization of the judge. “They are not released, they are on parole to allow them to properly prepare for their trial, which will take place. And it is up to the judge to eventually release them. I think that Mr. Ibrahima Diallo knew perfectly well that he was under judicial supervision and that he therefore had no possibility of leaving the territory without the authorization of the judge. He knows that he has not been exonerated by the justice which will pronounce his release and that of his companions. By putting them at the disposal of the religious, we just gave them a sentence so that they would not be imprisoned and that was the request: to be free while awaiting their appearance. He is not yet fully released, he is under judicial warrant and he must submit to the provisions of this warrant which he received when they were released. So it’s not abuse, it’s just law enforcement. The judge will summon them for their judgment and it is at the end of the trial that the court decision must prevail and will be applied”.
