Invested in office this Tuesday, April 2, the new President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, appointed his Prime Minister, just a few hours after his swearing in. A choice which surprises no one since it was his mentor Ousmane Sonko, leader of Pastef, whom he chose to be the head of his government.
The information was made public on the evening of Tuesday, April 2, at the Palais de la République in the presence of the new Prime Minister. Ousmane Sonko thanked President Bassirou Diomaye Faye for the trust he placed in him, promising to work hard for the implementation of their social project and announced the establishment of a new government shortly.
