A complete failure! This is how the penultimate meeting of the deputies before their summer vacation was decided.

Two months before the 50th National Assembly was finally dissolved, the deputies decided that it was much more important than pending laws to fill their delegations for contacts with other parliaments around the world. And they wasted two hours arguing about the posts.

Ostensibly to push themselves one last time, they extended their hours to accommodate all of the scheduled nine points for the day. Thus, the meeting lasted 7.5 hours, of which, however, the people’s representative only worked for three. The rest of the time was spent in breaks due to the lack of understanding between the groups on any topic.

The meeting was limping from the morning – it started with 30 minutes of declarations and quarrels. After allocating the seats in the delegations, they moved on to changes in the environmental law, but after new quarrels, it turned out that there was no quorum. He was overthrown by PP-DB, “Vazrazhdane” and the independents because of the meeting of the commission for Petar Petrov – Euro and Martin Bojanov – Notary (see above). The MPs never found time to listen to four ministers about the problem of drought in the country. In the last week, they were expected to push themselves and work overtime to make up for the time lost in the agony of electing a chairman and forming committees. A number of important bills remained unadopted, such as changes to the Personal Assistance Act, which expands the range of people who are entitled to a personal assistant.
