Over 120 orienteers competed for the Chepelare Cup

Sports Orientation Competition Held in Chepelare

On August 10, 2024, over 120 competitors ​from Varna, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Gabrovo, Haskovo, Chepelare, Sofia, ‍Smolyan, Yambol, Sliven, Troyan, and other cities in Bulgaria participated ​in the⁣ Chepelare Cup sports orientation competition.

The race was open to​ adult men, women, and children aged 10⁣ and ⁣above. The award ceremony took place on⁣ the “Olimpiyski” square, where the final of the participants was also held.

The winners were‌ awarded by Boran Hadjiev,‌ Mayor of Chepelare Municipality, Stoyan Kuzmov, Deputy Mayor of Chepelare Municipality, and Vera Bochukova, Coach of SKO Studenets 24 ​- Chepelare.‍ Awards were given to all children ⁣under 10, individual winners in various age groups, club winners, and those who placed in the open orienteering competition.

The Chepelare⁣ Cup competition was organized by SKO Studenets 24 – Chepelare with the support of Chepelare Municipality and is part of the Bulgarian Orienteering Federation’s calendar.

Tomorrow, the competition ⁤will continue in Pamporovo with a ⁣two-day sports orientation competition dedicated to Georgi Zahariev.
