Over 24 hours of waiting for a final farewell to the queen

by time news

Time.news – The British government has invited citizens not to travel to London to be able to say goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II: the queue is in fact at the limit, the line has grown to the point that you have to wait 24 hours before entering the burning chapel at the Palace of Westminster.

During the night, the government posted a message urging people to be cautious: “The queue has almost full capacity with a waiting time of at least 24 hours. Please don’t travel to join the queue.”

Thousands of people should still pay homage to the late queen, between now and tomorrow, and so there is a growing fear that waiting times could reach 30 hours. On Friday evening, there was also a small incident when a man, promptly arrested, attempted to approach the coffin and tear off the royal banner.
