BOLZANO. It was held today (October 17) on the campus of Free University of Bolzano the 2024 edition of the “Career Fair“, an event that aims to facilitate the matching between the needs of companies and students and graduates, putting the latter in contact with potential employers in different sectors: from industry to commerce, from technology to public institutions.
The professional opportunities fair organized by Unibz attracted more of 350 candidates, both male and female students and male and female graduates. There was a very large presence – with 70 stands – of employers interested in examining the profiles of new candidates with whom to strengthen their ranks. The companies offered internships and professional development opportunities to male and female graduates, not only from unibz: for them, the “Career Fair” represents a unique opportunity to enter into direct relationships with local companies, institutions and organizations but not only that. The novelty this year was the participation of the Free University of Bolzano itself as an employer.
“The Career Fair offers a valuable platform for dialogue between supply and demand for qualified jobs and for networking – he states Iris Tappeinerresponsible for the Internship and Placement service – in recent years, the event has attracted both students looking for internships and graduates who want to establish themselves on the job market or reorient themselves professionally”. “The Career Fair is important for our male and female students, but also for those who, despite coming from Alto Adige, attend university elsewhere – comments the rector Alex Weissensteiner – everyone has the opportunity to establish contact with businesses, local and otherwise, and institutions that need their contribution. We therefore see ourselves as a platform that facilitates the entry of young, competent and motivated forces into the world of work”.
