Time.news – There are over 4 million – the precise figure is 4,058,000 – those over 50 who have not yet vaccinated against Covid 19 (last week it was 150,867 more) and did not even take the first dose. This is what emerges from the weekly report, published today, on the vaccination campaign of the extraordinary commissioner for the Covid 19 emergency, general Francesco Paolo Figliuolo.
More than 35 thousand health workers and 186 thousand school staff have not yet been vaccinated
Among the most relevant data there are also those on the administration of health personnel and those employed in the school sector: as regards the first category, almost 9 months after the start of vaccinations, you started with white coats, according to the report there are 35,691 health workers still not covered by even a dose. This is 1.82% of the total, which amounts to 1,958,461 health workers, of which 94.42% are fully vaccinated. On the other hand, 186,571 non-vaccinated school staff are unvaccinated, that is, those who are not yet covered by any dose of vaccine. This is 12.82% of the total, which amounts to 1,455,308 units.
Vaccinated adolescents increase, 91% over 80 have completed a cycle
On the vaccination campaign for young people, the report shows that 940,393 (40.50%) children aged between 16 and 19 years of age have completed the anti-Covid vaccination cycle and 60.52% of the total already had at least one dose, while 298,942 adolescents in the 12-15 year group have completed the cycle with the double dose or single dose: this is 12.97% of the total for this age group.
As for the over 80s, 279,834 (equal to 6.14%) did not even receive the first dose of the vaccine, while over 9 out of 10, 91.48% to be exact, are fully vaccinated: this is 4 million 166,152 people out of a population of 4 million 554,107. High percentages also for the 70-79 year old group (87.21% immunized) and for the 60-69 year old, 81.42%. There coverage gradually decreases with age, reaching 72.97% among the 50-59 year olds.
