Over 5.1 million passengers at Alia Airport

Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan handled 5,139,090 passengers during the first eight months of 2022, an increase of 103.9% and a decrease of 16.6% compared to 2021 and 2019 (pre-Corona), respectively, according to the statistics published by the company that operates it. As far as aircraft traffic is concerned, it reached 45,849, i.e. an increase of 74.5% and a decrease of 15.9% compared to the data of 2021 and 2019, respectively. In addition, the air cargo movement reached 40,378 tons, an increase of 13.9% compared to the 2021 figure and a decrease of 39.6% compared to 2019.

During the month of August, the number of passengers at Queen Alia International Airport reached 942,286, a growth of 41.6% and a decrease of 10.5% compared to 2021 and 2019, respectively. During the past month, the airport recorded 6,945 aircraft movements, an increase of 21.8% and a decrease of 18.8% compared to the statistics of 2021 and 2019, respectively. In addition, air cargo movement amounted to 6,007 tons, an increase of 0.2% compared to last year and a decrease of 27% compared to 2019.
