284 contracts were concluded for the financing of investment proposals with funds from the Recovery and Sustainability Plan
Over BGN 463 million will be invested in energy renovation of public buildings for administrative services, culture and sports under the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability. All 284 contracts have already been concluded for the financing of proposals for the implementation of investments under the “Support for sustainable energy renovation of public building fund for administrative services, culture and sports” procedure. Over BGN 397.5 million of them are from the Recovery Mechanism and sustainability, and the rest – self-financing of the final recipients, this was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
More than BGN 220 million will be invested in renovating and implementing energy efficiency measures in administrative buildings of 79 municipalities, fire departments, police departments and the headquarters of state institutions.
Another part of the funds will be for repairs and measures to increase the energy efficiency of cultural institutions throughout the country. Among them are theaters, over 60 community centers, museums, libraries, cultural centers and art galleries. Iconic sites such as the building of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, the State Satirical Theater “Aleko Konstantinov”, the Drama and Puppet Theater “Ivan Radoev”, the National Library “Ivan Vazov” – Plovdiv, the Drama Theater – Lovech, the Central Army Library of the Bulgarian Army in Sofia as well will be renovated.
The repair and renovation of sports halls, stadiums, sports facilities and complexes, as well as indoor swimming pools, is planned. Examples are the sports complex “Shabla”, the sports building and stadium of the city of Popovo, the sports base of the city of Radnevo, the stadium “Tundzha”, the complex “Septemvri” in the city of Simitli, the sports complex “Lokomotiv” – the city of Varna, the stadium ” Georgi Benkovski, Vidin, “Beroe” stadium and training sports hall in Stara Zagora, “Grebna baza” in Vidin, wrestling hall in Bobov dol, etc. Several projects under the procedure plan to repair indoor swimming pools swimming pools – RC “Meden Rudnik”, Burgas, g.k. “Elenovo-1”, Blagoevgrad, “Anton Mitrov”, Velingrad, Vratsa, etc.
The investments are aimed at implementing energy efficiency measures with the aim of achieving a minimum class “B” of energy consumption and saving a minimum of 30% of primary energy in the buildings that are subject to intervention. The activities under the procedure provide for ongoing repairs to introduce energy efficiency measures efficiency, providing an accessible environment and building a hybrid photovoltaic system for the production of electricity for own needs, etc.
