Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced, on Wednesday, the overthrow of (5) wanted persons on charges of terrorism and human organ trafficking in Baghdad and Maysan.
A statement by the directorate stated, “According to accurate intelligence information, the detachments of the Maysan Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Ministry of Defense, were able to arrest three wanted persons by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Articles (4/Terrorism, 431), through their presence in an ambush district in Maysan Governorate.” “.
He added, “Through continuous work to follow up on organized crime gangs and retaliate against them, the detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated with the same directorate were able to overthrow two defendants in the Al-Saydiya area in Baghdad for carrying out the process of trafficking in human organs and committing red-handed crimes, and they were referred to the legally competent authorities.”
