Owendo Container Terminal major sponsor of the 38th edition of the Libreville Golf Open

DIG/ Owendo Container Terminal (OCT) has just announced its partnership with the organizing committee of the 38th edition of the Libreville Golf Open, which will take place from May 25 to 29, 2023.

As part of this collaboration, OCT will support the participation of 10 professional players, both local and international, with the aim of promoting the development of women’s golf.

The Libreville Golf Open is a prestigious event in the sub-region, and Owendo Container Terminal wishes to actively contribute to the success of the launch of its first women’s edition, while accelerating the development of high-level competition in women’s golf.

OCT is committed to promoting equal professional opportunities between men and women, even in a traditionally male sector such as material handling.

Thus, the company recently hired for the first time in its history women as operators of high-capacity material handling equipment. On the strength of this internal gender equality policy, OCT has decided to apply it to other fields, in particular that of sport, by supporting these players from Gabon, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Senegal, Madagascar, South Africa, and others country.
