Owner’s First Email to Twitter Employees: Get Ready for Troubled Times

Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, said in his first email to his employees on Wednesday, “Get ready for some tough times.”

Mr. Musk said in an email that there was no better way to convey the economic outlook and how it would affect a company as dependent on advertising revenue as Twitter.

He also said that the practice of working from home or elsewhere would no longer be allowed, adding that employees would have to work at least 40 hours a week in the office.

Twitter has been operating under Mr Musk’s leadership for nearly two weeks. After becoming the owner of Twitter, he fired almost half of its employees.
