Express delivery service Ozon Express (part of the Russian marketplace Ozon) has launched its own production of ready-made meals, Interfax reports with reference to the Ozon press service.
By the end of the year, the assortment will be expanded to about 30 items, including breakfasts, salads and main courses. Now it includes 10 dishes, including pasta Bolognese, Carbonara and Kiev cutlets. The menu for the platform was made by the chef Alexey Barkovsky.
The delivery of ready-made food under the Ozon Express brand is still operating throughout Moscow, later the project is planned to be expanded to other cities where the service is present. Ozon Express operates in Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Tver and Rostov-on-Don. The service’s own production capacity is estimated at 500,000 portions per month. The company expects to supply finished products to its darkstores, from where they will be delivered to end consumers.
Ozon Express launched ready-to-eat food delivery in February 2021, and Azbuka Vkusa became the first partner of the service.
