Rapper P. Diddy (54, “I’ll miss you”), whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested on Monday evening in New York as part of a federal investigation into human trafficking charges, his lawyer Marc Agnifilo declare.

It is also unclear what specific charges will be brought against the singer. The New York Times reported that the arrest followed a grand jury indictment. According to the New York Post, Diddy fully cooperated and came to New York voluntarily in advance of the indictment.

In a statement, his attorney Agnifilo said, “We are disappointed in the decision of the US Attorney’s Office to pursue what we believe to be an unjustified prosecution of Mr. Combs.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is “a music icon, a self-made entrepreneur, a loving and philanthropic family man who has spent the past 30 years building an empire, loving his children and advocating for the advancement of black community.” .

Agnifilo continued: “He is not a perfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit, Mr. Combs has been cooperative throughout this investigation and last week voluntarily transferred to New York in anticipation of this indictment. Please withhold judgment until you know all the facts. These are the actions of an innocent man who has nothing to hide and hopes to clear his name in court.”

The federal investigation into Diddy became known in late March when agents from Homeland Security Investigations simultaneously executed search warrants and searched his mansions in Los Angeles and Miami.

His defense attorney, Aaron Dyer, a day after the raids called them a “crude use of military force,” calling the charges “baseless” and saying Combs is “innocent and will continue to fight.”

Last November, a former caretaker and his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura (38) were the first of many people to be sued for sexual abuse. They forced those who participated in it or urged them to have sex.

In her lawsuit, Cassie accused her ex-boyfriend of years of abuse, including beatings and rape. Diddy is also said to have engaged in human trafficking by asking him to participate in forced sexual acts on several occasions.

In May, CNN released footage from a hotel surveillance camera that showed Diddy hitting Cassie, throwing her to the ground, dragging her behind and kicking her.
