Kannur: The state leadership assigned P Jayarajan to go to Thillankeri and preach against Quotation leader Akash. The general feeling of the leaders is that if people want to be convinced, P Jayarajan himself should refute Akash and his associates. Realizing that Akash has the support of the local leadership, the CPM has issued a stern warning to all 19 branches under the Tillangeri Local Committee.
Akash Tillankeri is the admin of PJ Army, a social media group that praises P Jayarajan. The party had stated a year ago that these people, who are advocating that P Jayarajan should come to the leadership, are carrying out gold smuggling citations and gangster activities at night. But the group continued to act as CPM campaigners on social media. The party is making a concerted effort to contain Akash, who betrayed the Shuhaib murder to the party and revealed what he had done. In fact, the state leadership decided that P Jayarajan should personally come to Thillankeri to refute Akash in a public meeting. Earlier it was decided that only MV Jayarajan would participate. A new poster has been released with P Jayarajan’s photo included.
