Apple TV+’s new drama ‘Pachinko’ (written by Suh Hu/directed by Lee Ann Welham, Jin Jun-rim, Lee Sang-il) released its season 2 poster on the 20th.

‘Pachinko’ is a drama based on the novel of the same name by Korean-American author Lee Min-jin. It is a story about the lives of four generations of Koreans during the Japanese colonial period and the Japanese and American immigrants within it.

The poster for season 2 of ‘Pachinko’, which will once again resonate across the world with a story that crosses borders and generations, has been released and is gathering attention. The released poster arouses curiosity by showing the main characters of ‘Pachinko’, including Kim Min-ha and Yoon Yeo-jeong as Seon-ja, who leaves her hometown and begins making a living in an unfamiliar land, and Lee Min-ho as the cold-hearted businessman Han-soo.

In particular, the poster, which immediately catches the eye with its strong color contrast of gold and blue, has heightened viewers’ expectations by foreshadowing the grand narrative of ‘Pachinko’ that unfolds across time periods from the 1940s to the 1980s.

With only three days left until its release, Season 2 of “Pachinko” is receiving rave reviews from overseas media for its production that elegantly depicts the story of a four-generation Korean immigrant family and the actors’ passionate performances that heighten its appeal. The American entertainment magazine Collider praised Season 2 of “Pachinko,” saying, “This is a work that cannot be left out when discussing the best modern dramas,” and the South China Morning Post said, “It is an epic that beautifully depicts hardship and loss,” and predicted that Season 2 will deliver a story that will resonate as deeply as Season 1.

Here, Paste also gave favorable reviews to Kim Min-ha and Yoon Yeo-jeong, who played the role of Seon-ja, who does not break down in the face of the trials of the times and love, saying, “The film delicately expresses Seon-ja’s strength and honest emotions, leaving a deeper aftertaste.”

Meanwhile, ‘Pachinko’ Season 2 consists of a total of 8 episodes, and the first episode will be released on the 23rd, and new episodes will be released every Friday until October 11th.
