Pachuca defeated Necaxa 2-1 in their first Clausura – Liguilla match played this Monday at the Hidalgo Stadium.

Alan Bautista and Salomón Rondón scored the winning goals for Guillermo Almada’s team, while Brayan Garnica scored for the visitors.

Pachuca suffered a heavy blow when Oussama Idrissi saw a straight red card three minutes from time.

Bautista broke the tie for Pachuca with 11 minutes left. The midfielder shot high into the left corner after combining with defender Bryan González. Four minutes later, Pachuca had the perfect opportunity to extend the lead through a penalty that Rondón sent to the center of the goal. The foul was committed by Nelson Deossa on Alexis Peña.

Garnica closed the gap for Necaxa 13 minutes later, with forward Díber Cambindo this time as an assist.
