The Central Government has announced the Padma Awards for achievements in various fields. Sunder Pichchai, Satya Nadella, Pipin Rawat, Neeraj Chopra, Chaukar Janaki and many more are on the list. Announcement of a maximum of 13 persons from Uttar Pradesh in the Padma Award list of 128 names announced; The award has been announced for 7 people from Tamil Nadu.
The Padma Awards have also been announced for Muthu Kannammal, the last heir to the Devadasi tradition in Tamil Nadu, AKC Nadarajan, a clarinet musician, and Soukar Janaki, a veteran actress and writer-sculptor Balasubramaniam.
