Top grosser Padma, Nothing Happened As Teaser Says: Anoop Menon
Padma was the movie where Anoop Menon and Surabhi Lakshmi came together. Anoop Menon played Ravi Shankar, a clinical psychologist in the film. Surabhi played the title role of Padma.
The film was written and directed by Anoop Menon and talked about Extra Marital Affair. The promo video that was released for the film got a lot of attention. Anoop Menon and Surabhi were present in the video.

‘Padma is not a theatrical experience that everyone goes to the theater to watch. It is a film that can easily be watched in OTT. Padma has not been given many promotions. I thought that the reason for that is that only people who are interested in watching the film should go to the theater to see it.
Such people have come and seen this movie. I just didn’t spend money on promotion. A three-week theatrical release so as to inform people about the film, that was my plan. I initially thought of releasing it on OTT.
First I was talking to an OTT platform for the release of the film. Initially, I did not understand the theatrical release. As luck would have it, I got the theatrical release. After that Padma got some good reviews. It later became a promotion for the film’s OTT release.
This was all my plan. I didn’t think I’d advertise too much. Padma is the highest grossing film for me. Nothing has happened as per its teaser,” said Anoop Menon.
Produced under the banner of Anoop Menon Stories, Padmail featured Shankar Ramakrishnan, Surabhi Lakshmi, Anwar Sharif, Ambi, Marina Michael, Mala Parvathy and Shruti Rajinikanth in the lead roles. And there are about twenty new faces.
