Garment maker Page Industries posted a net profit of Rs 207.03 crore for the quarter ended June 2022. The company had earned a net profit of Rs 10.94 crore during the April-June period last year. It is now twice as much. The company earned Rs 1,341.26 crore in revenue for the quarter. Since the time of the Covid crisis, the revenue has increased by two times compared to the figures for FY 2022. The total expenditure also increased to Rs 1,070 crore from Rs 490.57 crore earlier.
“Behind this achievement we were able to make a clear financial plan and take a leap in sales. Despite facing many challenges from outside, we crossed another milestone this quarter,” said VS Ganesh, Managing Director of the company.
“There has been no compromise in providing our customers with the highest quality apparel at affordable prices. That is the standard of this sustainable progress. Plans are being made to expand the retail chain. We always have faith in our customers,” he added.
“The steady increase in customer base for our products is encouraging. “The company moves forward by understanding the needs of the customers in terms of quality, price and product design. Our plan to introduce children’s wear in womenswear stores has been a huge success. “The decision is now to strengthen our presence in this fast-growing and highly promising sector,” explained Ganesh.
Page Industries is the exclusive licensee for manufacturing, distribution and marketing of US company Jockey International in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Maldives, Bhutan and UAE. They also hold the license of Speedo International in the Indian market.
