An original page of a Spider-Man comic has been auctioned for a record price of 3.36 million dollars (equivalent to 2.9 million euros). Page 25 of the 1984 comic “Secret Wars No. 8” was sold at an auction in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, auction house Heritage Auctions said. The drawing shows the superhero in a black symbiote suit for the first time. The Marvel character Venom later developed from this basis.
The auction of the page, designed by artist Mike Zeck, started with a starting price of $330,000. The price then quickly went through the roof.
