On the 26th, the opening ceremony of the “LH-Paju Garden” citizen festival was held in a grand manner at Cheongryongducheon Waterside Park (Unjeong Central Park) in Unjeong District 3, Paju.
The 「LH-Paju Garden」 citizen festival is a nationwide event prepared as part of an urban garden project promoted in collaboration between Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) and Paju City. The LH Garden Show, held every year since 2019, has been used as a venue for a citizen festival. It has changed into the evolved ‘LH Urban Garden Project’ and is making its debut at this event held in Unjeong City, Paju.
The Paju Garden Citizen Festival, which will be held for three days from the 26th to the 28th, when the opening ceremony was held, will feature various cultural performances and experience programs. A variety of attractions were prepared for family visitors, including fun experience booths such as a stamping trip, Paju Garden plant search, and photo booth, as well as performances by the Paju City Arts Group and local artists.
In addition, in this public garden and urban park project, a garden with professional invited artists and citizens directly participating was created, attracting attention as a more meaningful event, and providing a view of the Cheongnyongducheon and the vast expanse of Unjeong Maru, located in the center of Unjeong Central Park. The view of Unjeong City is expected to become another attraction.
「LH-Paju Garden」, which was created with the purpose of creating a city where daily life and gardens coexist and injecting new vitality into city life by providing local residents with the benefits of an environmentally friendly life, is a 90,000㎡ Cheongnyongducheon Waterside Park (Union) It is spread throughout the Jeongjang Park area. It is only about 300 meters away from the Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit (GTX) Unjeong Central Station, so when the line opens at the end of this year, it is expected to become a local attraction visited by families, couples, and friends as an outing and picnic area in the vicinity of Seoul.
