The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Pakistani cricketers have been upset ever since India announced that it will not travel to Pakistan to play in this year’s Asia Cup. The PCB threatened to take a tough stand if India did not come to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup. Now, former Pakistan cricket team captain and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is arguing that India’s action is strange and arrogant. Imran Khan also says that Pakistani cricketers should not be disappointed because India does not allow them to play IPL.
India is now behaving like a superpower in the world of cricket. The reason for their pride is that India has the capacity to raise more funds than any other country. India is like a dictator deciding who to play with and who not to play with. It is disappointing that Pakistani cricketers are not included in the IPL tournament.
“I find it strange that Pakistani players are not allowed in the IPL. That is just arrogance. BCCI is defiant now. It is unfortunate that the India-Pakistan relationship is like this. Pakistani players need not worry about India not allowing Pakistan to play IPL. Because there are many quality young cricketers in Pakistan’- said Imnan Khan. Pakistani cricketers also played in the first season of the Indian Premier League in 2008. But it was decided not to participate in the IPL after the Mumbai terror attack.
