Karachi has been considered the second most risky city for tourists with a score of 93.12 out of 100. Forbes Advisor’s list of three most risky cities was released on July 11. Karachi was in second place after Caracas of Venezuela. Caracas’ score was 100. Myanmar’s Yangon was the third most dangerous city in the world with a score of 91.67 out of 100. The reason for being the second most dangerous city in the report is the highest personal safety risk, crime, violence, terrorist threats, risk from natural disasters and economic vulnerabilities. The report says that Karachi has received the second worst travel safety rating from the US State Department, which asks to reconsider the trip.
Karachi is not a livable city
The ranking further states that Karachi has the fourth highest infrastructure security risk, which reflects the availability and quality of a city’s infrastructure. Forbes Advisor said that to create the list of the most and least risky cities for tourists, 60 cities across the world were compared across seven key metrics. Karachi has repeatedly featured in lists of unlivable cities. In 2017, Karachi was named among the least safe cities in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

Just like the list of dangerous cities in the world, Forbes Advisor has also revealed the list of safest cities. Singapore is among the safest cities in the world. Singapore has got zero marks out of 100. It has got the ranking due to its safety, minimum natural disaster risk and excellent health care and security of infrastructure. Tokyo city of Japan is the second safest city in the world. Whereas Toronto city of Canada is the third safest city.
