Bay Oval: Pakistan lost the second consecutive match of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. Pakistan lost to India in the first match and lost to Australia in the second. Australia chased down Pakistan by seven wickets.

Chasing Pakistan’s target of 193, Australia won by three wickets in 34.4 overs. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl Bisma Maroof (78) and Alia Riyaz (53) were the other notable contributors for Pakistan.

Alana King took two wickets for Australia, while Megan Shutt, Elise Perry, Amanda and Nicola Carrie took one wicket each.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Alyssa Healy put on 191 for the victory. He left the crease with 72 off 79 balls. Meg Lanning (35) and Rachel Heinz (34) were the other notable contributors. Omaima Sohail took two wickets for Pakistan.

With this victory, Australia topped the points table with four points from two matches. Pakistan are in last place after losing both their matches. India is in second place.
