Islamabad: After Balochistan in Pakistan, the spark of rebellion has erupted in another state. Ali Amin Gandapur, leader of Imran Khan’s party PTI and Chief Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, has openly declared rebellion against the country. Gandapur said that now there is no other option other than revolution. After the clash between police and PTI workers in Rawalpindi, he said that now bullets will be answered with bullets, shells will be answered with shells and sticks will be answered with sticks.
Accused of firing on workers
Gandapur said on Sunday that ‘if anyone starts firing now, he will be shot at. If you fire one bullet, we will fire 10 bullets. He said, ‘This is the last warning.’ In a statement on Sunday, PTI leader Gandapur claimed that three of his workers were fired upon. One worker could not be traced. “Shells and bullets were fired at us every three kilometres, in which more than 50 PTI workers were injured,” he said.
Gandapur said these things through a video message from Peshawar, a day after he was stopped from attending a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest in Rawalpindi. Gandapur, who was going to attend the rally, got stuck on the way as the police had blocked the way by placing containers at the Burhan interchange.
Clash between PTI workers and police
PTI protesters on Imran Khan’s call held a massive demonstration in Rawalpindi on Saturday, where heated clashes broke out with the police and the city turned into a battlefield. Gandapur later asked to end the demonstration and return to Peshawar, which the protesters refused to do. Later the protesters retreated on the appeal of PTI leader Azam Swati.
After the protests in Rawalpindi, CM Gandapur released a video message late in the night and said that wrong has been done to him. His privacy was violated. He claimed that bullets and shells were fired at him during the protests. He said that Punjab Police continued to fire shells and bullets every three kilometres. Three activists were shot and more than 50 people were injured.
