Pakistan team announced against Bangladesh, new face two

Pakistan announced the squad for the home Test series against Bangladesh on Wednesday (07 August). Pacer Nasim Shah has returned to the 17-member team. And Saud Shakeel has been made the vice-captain by removing Shaheen Afridi. Shan Masood will lead as usual.

Two new faces in the Test team. Among them are batsman Kamran Ghulam, Muhammad Huraira and pacer Muhammad Ali. Their consistent performances in domestic cricket led to their call-up to the Test team.

Imam-ul-Haq, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, Noman Ali and Sajid Khan were left out of the last Test team that toured Australia. Hasan Ali and Mohammad Wasim are not in the team due to injuries.

Ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh, the Pakistan team will start training in Rawalpindi from Saturday, August 11. They will be overseen by new head coach Jason Gillespie. And Azhar Mahmud will be the assistant.

The Bangladesh Test team is scheduled to reach Pakistan on August 17. The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi from 21 to 25 August. And the second Test will be held in Karachi from 30 to 3 September.
