Pakistani security forces killed 10 terrorists and arrested two female suicide bombers during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Mastung and Surab districts.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Wednesday that these targeted operations took place over a 48-hour window. Security forces engaged militant locations in two specific districts, resulting in seven deaths in District Surab and three in District Mastung. In Mastung, forces also apprehended a facilitator and two female suicide bombers linked to Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan
, according to the military’s media wing.
The ISPR stated that during these operations, security forces effectively engaged the terrorist locations, recovering weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices used by terrorists. The military’s media wing further noted that sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area.
The Azm-e-Istehkam Campaign in Balochistan and KP
The ISPR stated that comprehensive joint operations are currently underway across various parts of Balochistan to weed out remnants of terrorists and their facilitators

The campaign extends into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), where security forces have spent the last two months conducting intelligence-based operations (IBOs) under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision. In North Waziristan, specifically the Khatti Kili area, operations led to the destruction of multiple hideouts belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij. Security sources reported that several terrorists were killed and others injured, with a large quantity of weapons and ammunition and other equipment recovered from the scene.
Operation Shaban and Recent Casualty Tolls
The current surge in activity follows the launch of Operation Shaban. This specific offensive was triggered by a deadly attack on a police checkpost in Ziarat. Since the operation began, security sources indicate that at least 129 militants have been killed.
Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the ISPR, noted that at least 42 people, including both civilians and security personnel, were martyred in three terrorist attacks in Balochistan earlier this month.
Targeting the ‘Terrorist Nexus’
The ISPR described the current effort as a continuation of operations against the terrorists nexus of Indian sponsored Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khwarij

The recovery of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), weapons, and ammunition during the Mastung and Surab raids underscores the material nature of the threat. The military has committed to continuing the relentless Counter Terrorism campaign at full pace, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. According to the ISPR, this campaign will continue to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country

Civilian Safeguards and Strategic Goals
Security sources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stated that every effort is being made to avoid harm to civilians and to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the local population.
Security sources reaffirmed that the security forces will continue operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until lasting peace is established and terrorism is eliminated.
