Pune, Maharashtra – The Anti-Terrorism Squad in Pune, Maharashtra has recently filed a chargesheet against a Pakistani spy woman who deceitfully acquired missile secrets from an Indian scientist. Pradeep Kurulkar, the former director of the Central Defense Research and Development Organization’s (DRDO) research lab in Pune, was arrested by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad Police for the unlawful divulgence of crucial security information.

Investigations into the matter have uncovered that Kurulkar had been in communication with a female spy from Pakistan, who masqueraded as Sara Dasgupta. They kept in touch through WhatsApp and video calls. Presenting herself as an IT engineer based in a European country, Sara gained Kurulkar’s trust by sending explicit images.

Exploiting this connection, Kurulkar shared significant details concerning our country’s security with Sarah, inclusive of classified information about accurately targeted missiles, unmanned drones, BrahMos missiles, and Agni missiles. The communication between the two continued for a period spanning from June to December last year.

Growing suspicious of Kurulkar’s activities, DRDO terminated its association with Sara in February and initiated an internal investigation into the matter. The subsequent inquiry revealed that the woman Kurulkar had been in contact with was from Pakistan. Consequently, the chargesheet filed against Kurulkar affirms that the Pakistani spy woman illicitly obtained missile secrets by perpetrating a fraudulent scheme known as the ‘honeytrap.’

In an related development, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad Police have also apprehended a contract worker named Nilesh, who was employed at the office of the Border Security Force. Nilesh had shared confidential information about our country with a female Pakistani intelligence officer.

The arrest of both the deceptive Pakistani spy and the contract worker underscores the pressing need for increased vigilance in safeguarding our nation’s security. The authorities are actively working to prevent such betrayals, aiming to preserve the sanctity and integrity of our defense infrastructure.
