Pakistan’s Fawad Chaudhry suggests broadcasting India’s Chandrayaan-3 moon landing live

by time news

Former Pakistan Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry has suggested that Pakistan’s media should broadcast the Chandrayaan-3 moon landing program. Chaudhry, who was the Minister of Information and Broadcasting in the Imran Khan government, also congratulated the Indian scientists and space community, calling the mission a “historic moment for humankind.”

In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Fawad Chaudhry wrote on Tuesday: “Pak media should show the #Chandrayan moon landing live tomorrow at 6:15 PM…historic moment for Human kind, especially for the people, scientists, and Space community of India…. Many Congratulations.”

Meanwhile, India is eagerly awaiting the landing of its moon mission Chandrayaan-3 on the lunar surface this evening. Scientists predict “20 minutes of terror” before the touchdown. Parties and prayers are being held across the country with equal fervor as the historic moment approaches.

The live telecast of the landing, scheduled for 6:04 pm, will be broadcasted across India. Schools will be open for the event, and space enthusiasts are organizing parties in anticipation of the momentous occasion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is attending the BRICS summit in South Africa, will join in online.

The suspense surrounding the mission has been heightened by the recent failure of the Russian moon mission Luna-25, which crashed on the moon’s surface during landing. In 2019, India’s Chandrayaan-2 mission also faced a similar fate. However, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has expressed confidence that they have learned from past lessons and the landing will take place successfully this time.

If Chandrayaan-3 succeeds in making a touchdown on the moon and landing a robotic lunar rover in ISRO’s second attempt in four years, India will become the fourth country to achieve the technology of soft-landing on the lunar surface, following the United States, China, and the erstwhile Soviet Union.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission holds great significance for India and the global space community as it represents a major step forward in space exploration and scientific advancement.
