Pål Christian Eggen is the new Captain Sabeltann

It is Pål Christian Eggen who will take over as the character Captain Sabertooth after Kyrre Haugen Sydness gives up, says a press release.

Eggen has a long career as an actor, and most recently played the role of Peer Gynt himself.

Terje Formoe, who was the original Sabeltann, says that he has spent a long time finding out who should step into the iconic role.

He explains that the role is very important to the public and fans throughout Norway, and that it was important for him to choose the right one.
