Kottayam The CPM imposed a ban on public statements as the campaign intensified that the Kerala Congress (M) had succumbed to pressure to ax Binu Pulikakandam, who was unpopular with them in the Pala municipal chairmanship election. The ban comes after he wrote an open letter and criticized Binu Jose K Mani, who lost the chairmanship between the cup and the lip. Kerala Congress (M) district president Lopez Mathew said that Binu’s taunt of defaming Jose with an ‘open knife’ was a violation of discipline and not in line with front etiquette, and will file a complaint with the Left Front leadership. But the CPM leadership is of the position that no action is needed against Binu for the time being. The CPM leadership had been informed that Binu would make a public statement after learning that he had lost the post of chairman of the Municipal Corporation due to Jose’s intervention through Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Although it was suggested to avoid personal vindictiveness against Jose, the intervention of the leadership was due to the complaint that Binu had committed personal murder.
The poor milkman trolled Binu.
The Left got a headache when the Kerala Congress released a letter of ‘Oru Paam Palakara’, defaming Binu, who had written an open letter to Jose. The letter taunts that Binu, who has attended many parties, was given the party symbol as a migratory parrot and even though he walks around wearing a black shirt, he is basically a Sanghi and can be seen in khaki knickers from time to time. The letter ends with a quip that history is yet to be told.
