Pamfilova invited Golos activists to speak at the CEC

by time news

The head of the Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, responded to the claims to the organization of elections to the State Duma from the movement for the protection of the rights of voters “Golos” (recognized in Russia as an organization-foreign agent). She invited the activists to speak at the information center of the CEC.

Earlier, in an interview with Euronews, co-chairman of the movement Stanislav Andreychuk noted that during the three-day voting, big problems and falsifications could arise. For this, he believes, conditions were created in advance.

“I ask them to come here – now I will officially send an invitation – let them come to this rostrum and tell about all violations … what (is happening) in reality,” said the head of the Central Election Commission (quoted by TASS). In her opinion, “Golos” is not infringed on its rights.

According to Ms Pamfilova, activists could participate in training seminars, participate in election observation. “They are not infringed on any rights,” she said.

In Russia, from 17 to 19 September elections are held at various levels. Citizens elect deputies of the State Duma, heads of nine subjects (three more chapters will be elected by deputies of legislative assemblies) and 39 regional parliaments. Municipal elections are also held on these days.
