It has been known for a few days now that Panathinaikos is looking at the case of Omer Yurtseven in order to strengthen its position “5”.
Ergin Ataman is said to have given the “green light” for the Turkish center’s case, and the “trifylli” has made an offer to the player for his acquisition.
According to a report from “Eurohoops,” it seems that Yurtseven has accepted this proposal.
As stated in the report, the player has verbally agreed with Panathinaikos but has requested a few days to search for a contract in the NBA, exhausting his last opportunities to be in the “magical world” for the new season.
The 26-year-old center played for the Miami Heat and Utah Jazz over the past three years, while he became a free agent this summer, and the idea of returning to Europe does not leave him indifferent.
In recent days, Yurtseven was tried out by the Knicks; however, he was rejected by the New York team, as reported by a reputable NBA reporter. This opened the way for the “greens'” proposal, and the transfer now seems to be in motion.
It is worth noting that the Turkish center averaged 5 points and 4.6 rebounds over 113 regular season games he played in the previous three years in the NBA.
