jpnn.comJAKARTA – During 18 years of working in the digital world, the Indonesian Internet Domain Name Manager (PANDI) has provided many benefits to the community.

Among them, as an organizer who is responsible for managing, operating and maintaining the Electronic Domain Name System.

Collaborating with Registrar Partners, KADIN and Educational Institutions, PANDI this year has provided digital literacy to more than 15,000 participants consisting of students, educators, and MSME actors so that they can Go Digital.

This initiative is PANDI’s commitment to building a digital ecosystem in the country.

“The low level of digital literacy in Indonesia is the biggest challenge in this country. Therefore, PANDI is actively conducting digital literacy so that people get greater opportunities and chances in this era of rapidly developing technology,” said PANDI Chairman John Sihar Simanjuntak at the 18th PANDI Anniversary Press Conference at Menara Tendean, Jakarta, on (02/09).

“We hope that in the future PANDI can embrace the community more so that it can bridge the digital divide and open wider access to technology, so that people living in urban and rural areas can be balanced in terms of digital expertise and skills,” he said.

John added that in the future, the digital literacy program will not only be limited to training, workshops, webinars or industrial visits, but PANDI will also provide educational scholarships to the nation’s best sons and daughters who excel.

“In addition to aiming to reduce the number of students who drop out of college because they cannot afford to pay for their education. The PANDI Scholarship Program aims to improve the ability and competence of human resources towards Indonesia Emas 2045. This is in line with PANDI’s vision and mission to play an active role in the development, research and innovation of internet technology, as well as contribute to building superior and quality human resources in the future,” said John.

The low level of digital literacy in Indonesia is the biggest challenge facing this country. Therefore, PANDI is actively conducting digital literacy for the community.
