(ANSA) – ROME, JULY 26 – With two very short and identical sentences, the Lazio Regional Administrative Court today formally closed the case relating to the administrative appeals with which Chiara Ferragni and the companies linked to her – “Fenice Srl” and “Tbs Crew Srl” – contested the provision with which last December the Antitrust Authority imposed a fine of over one million euros for alleged misleading advertising linked to the sale of the ‘Pink Christmas’ pandoro. The administrative judges, “noting that the case was called and discussed at the public hearing of 17 July 2024; considering that the applicant party filed, on 5 July 2024, a defense brief in which it declared that it was withdrawing from the proceedings, for the reasons better expressed in the documents; noting that the administration notified adhered to the withdrawal, which did not oppose, also with regard to the proposed compensation of costs”, therefore considered “it necessary to declare the judgment extinguished and to compensate the costs of the litigation between all the parties involved”. At this point, for the same matter, only the appeal filed by Balocco Spa, the confectionery industry that was fined 420 thousand euros, remains pending. At the beginning of the month, however, the discussion on the merits of the proposed appeal was postponed ‘to a date to be determined’ in compliance with a request made by the lawyers. (ANSA).
